October 3, 2014
I worked most of the day today so I got to the Health and Fitness Expo about 6:00 PM. I didn’t really anticipate buying a lot of merchandise so I don’t mind not getting to the Expo earlier.
When I arrive, I immediately head to pick up my bibs. I am running both the Happy Haunted 5k and the Tower of Terror 10 Miler so I have to wait in both lines. Neither of my lines are crowded so I am able to get both of packets in just a few minutes. I also get my commemorative pins as I pre-ordered those with my registration.
After I get my bibs, I head over to the Expo to get my shirts and gear bags. And, I stop by the Will Call office to pickup the ticket to the Villain’s Bash After Party. It doesn’t take me long at all to get these items so I peruse the Expo floor for a bit. I don’t really find anything that I’m just dying (pun intended; you know, because it’s Tower of Terror weekend!) to have so I head to the hotel. I am at Pop Century this weekend.
Once I’m checked in and settled, I go over to the food court and get some dinner. I am running the 5k in the morning and want to get to bed early. I don’t have to be up at typical runDisney early but it’s still early. Once I get back to the room, I shower and put all my gear for tomorrow morning on the spare bed.
I am recycling my Ursula tutu from Princess last year for the 5k. I like the villains so much better so this whole race weekend is really my cup of tea. I also have a little bit of work left to do on my costume for the race tomorrow night. I am dressing up as the tightrope walker from the Haunted Mansion stretching portrait. I have to finish sticking all the flowers to my skirt. Once I get that done, I hang the skirt and then curl up in bed to relax.
It’s a busy day tomorrow with the 5k in the morning and the 10 miler tomorrow night. This is my favorite race of the year though and I am really looking forward to it. It looks to be cooler this year than previous years and that will be great! But, it also looks to be raining in the morning. Hopefully, it will hold off enough that the run won’t be soggy.
Off to bed. Gotta run!
